These terms govern your use of convert2searchablepdf (“the service”), operated by Vinn AI Tech Solutions LLC. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them.

1. The service

convert2searchablepdf converts uploaded PDFs and images into searchable PDFs by extracting text via Optical Character Recognition (OCR). We provide the service on a credit basis: each page processed deducts one credit from your account.

2. Account & eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials confidential and for any activity on your account. One account per person; commercial accounts may be used by multiple authorized members of an organization.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to upload:

Content that infringes another person's copyright or other rights.
Content unlawful in your jurisdiction or in the US (where our infrastructure is hosted): child sexual abuse material, content inciting violence, etc.
Malware or files designed to harm our infrastructure.
Personal data of third parties for whom you have not obtained the right to process such data.

We may suspend accounts engaged in abuse, refund unused credits at our discretion, and report illegal content to authorities where required.

4. Credits, payments, refunds

Credits are sold in packs or custom amounts via Stripe. Prices vary by country and are shown before purchase. Each successful conversion deducts credits equal to the number of pages processed.

Refunds: credits already used to process documents are non-refundable. Unused credits can be refunded within 14 days of purchase if you have not yet used them, on written request to support@convert2searchablepdf.com. Refunds reverse the original payment via Stripe; processing time is Stripe's standard 5–10 business days.

Failed conversions: if a conversion fails on our end (server error, OCR failure), the credits for that job are returned to your balance automatically.

5. Service availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance, third-party outages (Google Vision, AWS, Stripe), or unforeseen incidents may interrupt access. We are not liable for losses arising from such interruptions beyond a credit refund where applicable.

6. OCR accuracy and output quality

OCR (optical character recognition) is statistical, not deterministic. Output may contain errors, missing characters, or misread words — particularly with low-resolution scans, handwriting, calligraphic or unusual fonts, mixed scripts, or degraded documents.

Always review the extracted text before relying on it for legal, financial, medical, regulatory, or other consequential decisions. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or formatting fidelity of any conversion. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim liability for losses arising from incorrect, incomplete, or altered output.

7. Intellectual property

You retain all rights to files you upload. By uploading you grant us a limited, time-bound license to store, process, and return the file solely to provide the service. This license expires when the file is deleted per our retention policy.

The service's code, design, and branding are owned by Vinn AI.

8. Privacy

Your data handling is governed by our Privacy Policy.

9. Termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where reasonable. On termination, unused credits older than 14 days are forfeit; older balances may be refunded at our discretion.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you have paid in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50 USD, whichever is greater. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

11. Governing law & disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws provisions. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, unless mandatory local law in your jurisdiction requires otherwise.

12. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via the email on file. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
